If you wish to learn how to speak Japanese, you may be wondering which way is the best way to do it. There are strategies to learn aside from taking a class or reading a textbook. Here are a few creative methods you can use to learn Japanese.

• The first thing to do would be to check out some Japanese cartoons called "Manga". Japanese cartoons could be for kids, but Manga is for adults as well. On their way to work, you will often see businesspeople grab a copy of their favorite Manga on the train. Manga can make your casual Japanese better. If the menu is in Japanese, you can test yourself to see if you are able to read the words. Whenever you order your food in Japanese, you will surely surprise the server. You can practice some simple words like "Thank-You" (arigatou) if you are not able to order in Japanese.

• Third, read some local Japanese newspapers. You will find free Japanese newspapers or magazines in large cities around the world where there is a Japanese community. These are directed at the local Japanese population. Even if you only know some characters in hiragana, katakana, or kanji, you could possibly understand some advertisements and articles. It would be fantastic to be able to know and understand a few words and symbols, especially if you could use them in real life situations.

• Fourth, learn Japanese using your laptop. You can easily study the language and pronunciation using a computer. There are games or other methods to help you learn or you can buy Japanese language software. Programs on the iPod or iPhone are also popular for understanding and learning Japanese.
